Communication and Philosophy: A necessary convergence

The innovation between sciences and arts has experienced continuous changes since the beginning of the 21st century. In this context, the compared epistemology between philosophy and communication is extremely necessary in order to challenge and interpret the world in a rigorous, conscious and committed manner. Therefore, this issue has been a very important thought for philosophy and science on the grounds that it allows to re-learn how to teach in this new knowledge society. For this reason, the aim of this Congress is to generate spaces in order to develop a dialectic exchange by using meta knowledge and mind maps thanks to a renewed discovery and a continuous curiosity. Additionally, this research work contributes to human, scientific and aesthetic education which is based on emotional, ethical, social and spiritual intelligence from universal values applied to behavior, demeanor and human ethology.

As a result, different research areas will be represented in several symposia during this Congress. Furthermore, they will provide an interdisciplinary and transversal approach  between philosophy and communication. Thus, as the last edition of the Congress, it is necessary to keep broadcasting this compared epistemology and its intersection of interdisciplinary codes with regard to cognitive and affective stimulation, transmission of emotional harmony and literacy of ethical and aesthetic values.

In addition to this, the relationship between philosophy and communication contributes to educate our mind and our soul as there is a strong bond with the humanistic education which is included in this Congress. In other words, the science of arts and the art of sciences will be able to help to PhD students and researchers to develop new skills of whole listening and perception of the world beyond logical reasoning.

Moreover, this Congress has contributed to proactive implementation in the different symposia since the last edition. They should be considered a research observatory with regard to new forms of transferring knowledge such as flipped-tic, educational technology, MOOC, SPOCS and slides, mobile learning, self-directed and nanotechnological cooperative learning or blogs and digital repositories. Additionally, it is highlighted big data and meta data, gamification and serious games according to the content as an update of the humanistic concept of homo ludens. Consequently, this issue is a new challenge for the future of the compared epistemology as researchers are able to enhance the development of multiple intelligences. Therefore, there is an important connection between the instinctive-emotional brain and the rational brain from an interdisciplinary and multimodal approach. As a result, all these aspects will come true in this Congress; that is, it will be generated a whole comprehension of the epistemological process between ethics and aesthetics for a humanistic, neuropsychological and cognitive-creative maturation in future researchers in the 21st century.

  • Create a meeting point for discussion and debate in order to draw critical perspectives for philosophers, experts in communication and other researchers with regard to humanities and social sciences.
